It is common to find dropout school children or some lazy gadabouts, as soon as they wake up, will be spending most of their time talking on the mobile phone and get themselves entertained by their parent's TV without a fear of becoming broke --home sweet home. Thanks to the the promising trick and opportunity the phone cellular providers give to this country.

Is it too naive to say that Indonesians never realize that actually they are prone to be blowing ourselves up by doing such a thing? Partying is everybody's right, what's a big deal?

Big as it is as the predominant Muslim country, such a phenomenon is quite ironic. What an impact! The ulemas and clerics, what can they do unless deliver a speech. Yes, while they keep talking about moral, those listening to them, keep thinking that the sermon is merely a part of show.

Police said on Friday a car bomb went off at a toll road in north Jakarta, following two bomb blasts earlier in the day at JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton hotels in Jakarta's business district.

Jonathan Manthorpe, Vancouver Sun reporting Nine people were killed and over 50 injured today when suicide bombers attacked two luxury hotels in the central business district of the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

Police say they found the bodies of two suicide bombers after the explosions at the J.W. Marriott and the Ritz-Carleton hotels. Both hotels are frequented by foreigners who appear to have been the targets of the attacks.

The first bomb was detonated in the lobby lounge of the Marriott at 7.47 a.m. Near a meeting of foreign business people. Five people were killed.

The second bomb went off 10 minutes later in a second floor restaurant at the Ritz-Carleton killing two people. Another person later died in hospital.

As an Indonesian, I can only hope such a nightmare will never happen again in this country.

Some people looking for funny pictures on the Internet don’t feel amused as they find ones. Others who aren’t, oftentimes, only come across, get distracted and entertained.

Funny pictures are not tickling in the eye of the blind. To them the pictures are not telling something which meets with their interests. You know, the blind here are not those who have poor eyesight, but those who don’t know how to understand or enjoy whether a picture is funny or not. However, a kind of blindness is too subjective to stress up.

The blind can be you and I including those who happen to have imaginative talent. Nothing can satisfy all.

What makes funny pictures look dull not merely due to the tendency of the illustrator to imitate an image so there’s no sense of originality shown, but it exactly comes from the sense and the mood of viewers themselves. There’s no wit apparently to get along with.

Funny pictures should be appearing as appealing as public figures as to how to make viewers easily distracted visually. The one to create them, should be able to tickle everybody’s fancy. He doesn’t have to be prophetic who can visualize the society in the next few decades.
